Preparing for RoboCup 2007

These days Parsian members’ are heavily busy with preparing the team for RoboCup 2007 Atlanta Small Size leauge. We’ve decided to redesign & improve almost all parts of the project. Our main goal is to show up very well in RoboCup 2007.

Some new approaches are:

• New mechanical design included new motors and new kick system resulting better dynamics.
• 3D Simulation Software.
• Controling Software re-coding.
• Improved image proccessing algorithms.
• New PID system.

’07 Parsian :: Reloaded !

These days we’re working hard to prepare for this year’s Robocup Small Size leauge. Phase-Zero is preparing the required materials for qualification. Everything seems fine and we hope our TDP (Team Description Paper) and videos get ready soon this week.

We are in Group D !

Today, the organization committee announced the “Groups for Preliminary Round” of RoboCup 2006 Small Size League. We are in group D with RoboDragons (Japan), 5dpo (Portugal), Eagle Knights (Mexico) and CoolRUNners (Germany).

The interesting point is that we are in Group D with opponent teams from Mexico and Portugal, though these groups are arranged by a computer program. Exactly like FIFA World Cup 2006 group D, where Iran, Mexico & Portugal are in the same group!

New mechanical design

The 2nd generation of our robots are ready now, As The OC told us, we reduced our robots’ size to meet the competition rules, This generation came out with new Spinner and Kicking, new motors and feedback system. The wheels’ angles also became 120 degrees for better omni directional movement. Our efforts till aprill 15th would be focused on submitting our new video to OC.

After 6 months of work on RoboCup Small Size project and publishing information via a static website, we are pleased to announce that our new website is ready, With elegant design and dynamic structure!

It will take a little bit time to move our static contents to the new site, But we will try to make it one of the best robotic group websites. Beside posting our work news , we will publish our research papers , movies and pictures.
